Music in moments

I write about the moments that tell stories in an instant. They exist all around and I relish taking the time to indulge in their beauty. The untouched steaming mug between a couple at a table, the bartender refreshing his email at every gap in service, the rain in a man’s combed hair as he enters a restaurant and looks around the room.

My band and I back up these moments with a passion for music influenced by Norah Jones and Ray Charles. We lounge in the perfectly relaxing middle ground between pop and jazz. It is a rainy day where the listener wraps themselves up in a blanket and sighs, "I have nothing to do today, perfect."

I grew up in the mid-afternoon thunderstorms of Northern Virginia. At age 10 I unwrapped my first guitar for Christmas. Years later I cut my teeth in the jam bands at University of Vermont and played my first shows at the Radio Bean in Burlington. I blistered my fingers in the practice rooms at Berklee College of Music where I majored in music education. As college rolled to a close I put together a band and released my first self-titled EP. We toured up and down the east coast and even ventured into the Midwest a few times. In 2015 we made the move to New York City where we are now based.

Here’s what other people have said about me:

“From the first breath until the last line, I’m gripped by Eddy’s fantastic lyrics, his guitar playing, his use of the word ‘deigned’.” -Lttl Brthr

“A good show is fun, but a great show makes you want to be a better artist and person. [Eddy’s show] was both.” -Clare Mccallan

“Their carefree vibe is something remarkable and the clean tone of their songs stands out…” -World Sounds
